Singer of Jazz and Brazilian Popular Music, was born in Rio de Janeiro in October 1982, he is a singer, composer and Brazilian music producer.

 

He began his career in music at the church, where he was a pianist and singer for 14 years. Grandson of one of the founders of the Assembly of God in Brazil, one of the most important Protestant denominations in the world, he grew up listening to congregational songs from the 80s and 90s. In 2014, in memory to his history in the church, he recorded his first album, "Reencontro", with 10 classics songs from the history of Protestant music, recorded with renowned artists in the field, such as the multi award winning singer, Mr. Ron Kenoly, winner of the Dove Awards, Billboard and Grammy Awards and the costan-rican Danilo Montero, winner of the Latin Grammy Awards (2014) and current pastor of Lakewood Church, the biggest church in USA. The album received international recognition, being broadcasted on more than 450 radio stations around the world, in 23 countries and took the young singer outside Brazil, on tour in the USA and Europe.

Holanda emerged on the international music scene as one of the representatives of the new crop of Brazilian Popular Music. The singer, who grew up in the famous neighbourhood of Copacabana, caught the attention of international critics and was nominated at the 22nd edition of the Latin Grammy Awards in 2021 with his second album, “Tempo de Viver”, in the category of Best Album of Brazilian Popular Music.
 

His latest project, the album"Thiago Holanda – Brazil 200, Live in Dubai" was recorded live in the United Arab Emirates, at the Dubai Millennium Amphitheater, one of the main stages of the Expo World Dubai, the biggest exhibition fair in the world, which was attended by other renowned international artists, such as Christina Aguilera, Jeniffer Lopez, Jacob Colier, Cold Play and Andrea Bocelli. His show is a tribute to the 200th anniversary of Brazil's independence and features classics from famous names in Brazilian music such as Tom Jobim, Vinícius de Moraes, Dorival Caymmi, Djavan, Ary Barroso, Edu Lobo, among others.
 

Directed by the pianist and arranger Adriano Souza, the show was perfomed with the musicians Anthony Muthurajah (bass), Eduardo Rubim (percussion), the musician from the Black Eye Peas band, Colin James (drums) and Adriano Souza (keyboard).
